Yesterday and today in New York City, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton came together for a series of fundraisers. Reports from these events show what we both know—the firepower of Senator Obama and Senator Clinton on stage, together, would blow away the Republicans and lead us toward a brighter future. Reporters are already writing about what they think of Hillary on the ticket, and we think they should hear what you and I have to say.

Mark Halperin: Cross Webb Off Obama Veep List

The Virginia freshman Senator is Shermanesque in removing himself from the running.

Says in statement: “Last week I communicated to Senator Obama and his presidential campaign my firm intention to remain in the United States Senate…Under no circumstances will I be a candidate for Vice President.”

Some keen observers believe Webb was not actually being seriously considered.

Michael Goodwin: Hillary Clinton's vice president stock is rising

The third time was the charm. After failing her first chance to throw her support to Barack Obama and holding her nose the second time, Hillary Clinton finally aced the loyalty test.

Her winning audition with Obama in New Hampshire revives the only question that matters: Is she going to be his running mate?

My bet a month ago was that he shouldn't and wouldn't make the offer. Now I'm not sure. Clinton's Friday performance adds to my growing belief the dream ticket is an on-again possibility.

A VoteBoth-er tells ABC: "We've been making the case in terms on hard metrics . . . and this is going to be a more personal look at why there is so much support behind the idea of a 'dream ticket.' They're called "dream tickets" because teaming top rivals is seen as a way to unite the party, and the Kennedy-Johnson ticket generally is cited as a model. This year, buzz centers on whether Obama will pick New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democratic rival who ended her primary campaign Saturday. A website called VoteBoth.com, boosted by Clinton supporters, promotes the idea.

The Hill: Clinton backers talk up Hillary as VP

By Alex Bolton

Posted: 05/23/08 02:36 PM [ET]

A growing number of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s (D-N.Y.) most prominent supporters are calling on Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) to put her on the Democratic ticket.

While Clinton trounced Obama in this week’s Kentucky primary and is still making the argument that she should top the Democratic ticket, top allies have talked Clinton up as a vice presidential candidate.

RESPONSE TO KENTUCKY EXIT POLLING DATA

WASHINGTON, DC -- In response to reports of exit polling data on Democratic voter polarization in Kentucky this evening, VoteBoth.com spokesman Sam Arora issued the following statement:

When the primary election dust settles, today’s polarization will become tomorrow’s strength and unity if they run together on a ‘dream ticket.’”

‘Dream Ticket’ Supporters Grow, as Clinton’s Chances at Nomination Fade

by FOXNews.com

Rendell: Obama should ask Clinton to be VP (CNN)

From CNN's Emily Sherman

(CNN)-Governor Ed Rendell's name has recently come up as a potential running mate for Barack Obama, but the Pennslyvania Governor said Wednesday, why settle for a Clinton supporter when you can have the real deal.

Rendell, who has encouraged the New York Senator to 'stay the course,' despite calls for her to end her campaign, said Wednesday she may not win the nomination — but should be on the ticket either way.

MARIO CUOMO ENDORSES “DREAM TICKET”

WASHINGTON, DC--Former New York Governor Mario M. Cuomo today endorsed the idea of a Democratic “dream ticket.”

“Look, what we want more than anything is to win, and to win you're going to need all the votes she gets and you don't,” said Cuomo, addressing his comments to Senator Obama during an appearance on CNN’s The Situation Room.  “The best way to do it is to invite her on the ticket. If, in fact, at the end of process you win, which it looks like you might very well, then why not add her to the ticket?”

VoteBoth RESPONSE TO WEST VIRGINIA EXIT POLLING DATA

WASHINGTON, DC--In response to the release of exit polling data from West Virginia this evening, VoteBoth.com founder Adam Parkhomenko issued the following statement:

“The strong polarization we’re seeing in swing states like West Virginia can be transformed into Democratic Party unity if Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton run together on a ‘dream ticket.’  We recognize that they are both focused on winning the primaries right now, but we are glad that both campaigns are leaving the door open to running together.”

AFP: Fresh talk of 'dream team' emerges in White House race

WASHINGTON (AFP) — The notion of a Democratic "dream team" uniting to face Republican White House contender John McCain has resurfaced amid increasing calls for Hillary Clinton to abandon her presidential bid.

But even though Clinton herself hinted at such a possibility two months ago, her campaign now insists she has no interest in being vice president and will fight until she beats surging rival Barack Obama for the Democratic party nod.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Now that Democrat Hillary Clinton's presidential hopes
appear to be fading, some Democrats are talking about the possibility of Barack
Obama taking Clinton on as his vice presidential running mate.

LA Times Blog: Dream Ticket of Clinton, Obama revived by ex-aide of ex-aide of Hillary

Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama just got through assaulting each other a few hours ago over delegates from Indiana and North Carolina. And now a bunch of Clinton supporters are pushing the idea of a "unity ticket" featuring both of them.

How likely does that seem right now?

But wait! They don't have to decide that right now. It's a long time until Denver in August. Several geological ages in this political cycle.

NOVEMBER: CLINTON-OBAMA/OBAMA-CLINTON; WE NEED THEM BOTH TO WIN

By Adam Parkhomenko

The Democratic race is too close to call. It is entirely possible that the losing candidate will be supported by 49% of the voters and the delegates. It is also possible that one candidate could win the popular vote but lose the delegate contest. Amidst all this uncertainty, one thing is clear: the candidate who wins will win by a nose.

TNR The Stump: The New Hope: Vote Both

"Clinton-Obama '08," a unity ticket organization started by ex-Hillary vets, re-filed last week (and unveiled itself yesterday afternoon) as "Vote Both." Says founder Adam Parkhomenko, “originally my goal was to have a place for Clinton-Obama supporters (in that order) to organize,” but now the org's mock banner alternates between reading "Clinton-Obama" and "Obama-Clinton." There aren't any Obama people involved with the project yet, but they "invite everyone to join."

Chris Cillizza: 'Dream Ticket' Effort Evolves

Marianne Means: Clinton for VP, or else

WASHINGTON — The bitter hassles between Sen. Barack Obama’s people and Sen. Hillary Clinton’s people were supposed to be resolved by now. Fat chance!

On the Democratic side, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton is the clear favorite, although former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and former Vice President Al Gore have garnered a good deal of support.
